Description of Flow Chart of Each Section
The production line is divided into 4 working sections. There is electrical interlock between the sections. When unlocked,
single machines can be controlled individually. The line is automated and the operation is simple and reliable.
1. Flake preparation section
Raw material is first transported to the chipper by means of belt conveyor and through metal detector. After chipping,
the wood chips are conveyed to the chip silo for storage via belt conveyor and scraper conveyor. Chips from the silo
are transferred by a screw conveyor to the flaker for flaking operation. Flakes are sent to the wet particle silo for storage
via a scraper conveyor.
2. Drying and sifting section
Wet flakes of the wet particle silo are transported to the rotor particle dryer via the outfeed screw conveyor at the bottom
of the silo and scraper conveyor. By means of rotor vanes of the dryer, wet flakes are stirred to ensure thorough contact
with steam pipe bundles. Flakes are dried through convection and radiation, and then pushed to the outlet. A discharging
unit gets the flakes out. Qualified dry flakes are transported to the rectangular vibrating screen by a fire proof screw
conveyor. After the vibrating screen, wind sifter and screen ring mill, flakes are sifted into surface and core flakes, which
are conveyed to dry surface and core particle silo respectively.
3. Glue mixing and blending section
Flakes and glue are uniformly blended following a recipe in this section according to technological requirements. in this
line, core flakes and surface flakes are blended with glue separately. Glue fluids for core flakes and surface flakes are
mixed separately according to different technological requirement. After measured by two dosing units, glue is conveyed
to two ring glue blenders. Surface and core flakes are discharged by means of discharge screws at the bottom of silos.
Two belt conveyor transfer dry surface and core flakes to two dosing conveyors and the flakes fall in to the ring glue
blenders. After thorough uniform blending, mixtures of flakes and glue are sent to the downstream section via different
4. Forming section
Loose glue blended flakes are mechanically formed into a gradual-changing-structured mat on the net belt conveyor
which transports it to the single-opening hot press to be compressed. Raw materials are conveyed to the cooler by
means of dry board conveyor. After cooling in the cooler for a length of time, the raw boards are pedrail fed to the sizer
via the dry board conveyor. After sizing, the boards are conveyed to the lifting table to be stacked, graded and inspected
